The Conversation

Different perspectives. Shared dignity.

The proposed Zimbabwean Digital Dialogue Initiative: a space for listening, evidence and honest disagreement.

An invitation to understand

One country.
Room for many voices.

Unity does not require agreement about everything. It requires the willingness to see one another as people and to listen without turning a community into a stereotype.

The initiative is proposed, not yet live. No discussions, public comments or uploads are currently open. A moderated programme, consent process and reporting channel must be in place first.

The ground we share.

  1. 01

    Listen to understand

Make room for lived experience, including experiences different from your own.

  2. 02

    Acknowledge harm, reject inherited guilt

Historical accountability matters. Ethnicity does not make a person guilty of another person’s actions.

  3. 03

    Celebrate without superiority

Take pride in culture without diminishing another community’s dignity.

  4. 04

    Challenge ideas, not whole peoples

Discuss actions and institutions without stereotyping or attacking ethnic communities.

  5. 05

Leave room for evidence and disagreement

Distinguish history, testimony, interpretation and opinion. Honest disagreement is welcome; harassment is not.
